This site is a wiki. If you don't know what that means, the best explanation of it is given by the original wiki at [1].
The most important upshot of this is that the site is editable. By whom? Well, anyone - yes that's right, anyone - inlcuding you, right here and now. Just click on the 'Edit' link below, do your stuff and then click 'Save'. A backup will be made, so ultimately you can't do anything too disastrous, but if you just want to experiment, go to the Sand Box and edit that as a practice.
Mostly, just typing text is all you will need, but you also need to know that links within the site are formed by typing phrases of two or more capitalized words without spaces, JustLikeThis. For further information see [2]
So, if you are connected with the beer festival, please edit away - write new pages, update old pages, rephrase bad sentences. A good place to start is to look at the Site Map and contribute to one of the Wanted Pages. Even if you are not connected directly, we welcome your input if you want to comment, or even just correct any spilleng mistayks you spot.
Won't this site get mucked up by loonies out there? Well, it is possible, but the experience of the thousands of wikis out there is that they generally don't, and can always be restored from backups if necessary.
